I was trained as a chef and had a brief, but very successful career in Southern California before one day I decided I wanted a bigger world than waiters, busboys and vendors. I started selling cars and became Genertal Sales Manager for a group of Acura dealerships. I took a sabbatical from that and worked as F&B Manager for a private resort in the Fiji Islands, before returning to my posititon in the automotive industry.

Shortly after, I got into the retail specialty coffee business, an interest I first developed while working in the kitchen. We all knew about our wines, but more of our diners drank coffee, and no one knew anything about our coffee. After a few years developing a succesful retail business in the SF Bay area, I moved to Florida, and found no one was interested in coffee there, so I sold thesmall shop I had opened in St Augustine and went to work in a historic hotel that was being reopened 60 years after it had seen its last guest.

I am now Guest Services Manager at 4-Diamond resort in Asheville, NC and absolutely love my job and community. I take take great pride in being involved as a citizen.

I live with my fiance Wendy and her 16 year old, Sasha; our 3 cats and border collie, Oreo. We miss our most recently passed pet, a chicken named Wishbone.
